INTRODUCTION

The preschool years are crucial to a child’s overall development. Children are constantly learning and absorbing information. Because learning takes place in every experience and situation, New Friends Nursery School provides rich, meaningful, learning experiences that enhance each child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. We strive to provide a loving and caring environment where children can play and learn through a combination of structured and unstructured activities.

  • Increase self-esteem
  • Enhance academic skills in preparation for kindergarten
  • Develop large and small motor coordination
  • Foster cooperation and social skills
  • Increase children’s exposure to art and music

CLASSES and TUITION


Children 4 or 5 years old by September 1st of this school year are eligible to attend New Friends’

pre-kindergarten (pre-K) classes. There are three choices for pre-K classes:
   Mon-Wed-Fri AM 8:45am – 11:15am
   Mon-Wed-Fri AM 9:00am – 11:30am
   2012-13 school year, cost - $160 per month

   Mon-Wed-Fri PM 12:30pm – 3pm
   2012-13 school year, cost - $145 per month

Children who are 3 years old by September 1st of this school year are eligible for New Friends’ preschool class. Two preschool classes are offered:
   Tue-Thur AM 8:45am – 11:15am
   Tue-Thur AM 9:00am – 11:30am
   2012-13 school year, cost - $130 per month

All children must be toilet trained (this includes no pullups).
Prices quoted are for the 2011-2012 school year (please call the office, or use the above highlighted links, if you are ainterested in the 2012-13 school year).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS OR DELAYS


  New Friends Nursery School has traditionally followed Souderton Area School District’s calendar for in-service days and holidays. Monthly newsletters and calendars will keep parents informed of this schedule if you do not have a child in the Souderton Area School District. Cancellation… If Souderton Area School District is cancelled for the day due to inclement weather, New Friends Nursery School are cancelled for the day also.

  • 1 Hour late… If Souderton Area School District opens 1 hour late, we will be opening at our regular school time (8:45 am or 9:00 am), not one hour late.


  • 2 Hours late… If Souderton Area School District opens 2 hours late, the following schedule will be implemented:


    • Morning Sessions - Class will begin 2 hours late and end one hour late:
    10:45 am - 12:15 pm or 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

    Afternoon Session - Class will begin one hour late and end at normal time:
    1:30 pm - 3:00 pm


  • Early dismissal… If by 12:30 pm Souderton Area School District has declared an early dismissal due to inclement weather, we will not have our afternoon class for that day.


  • If there are ever any cancellations at New Friends Nursery School, it will be announced on WNPV radio station 1440 AM, congruent with Souderton Schools.
