Ministries
We would like to introduce you to the ministry of Indian Valley Mennonite Church. We invite you to explore with us the awesome God as we worship, fellowship, and study the Bible together.Adult Ministries
The ministry of Adult Sunday School seeks to provide an environment in which adults study scripture and gather knowledge that allows them to grow in fellowship, walk with Christ daily, share their faith, and serve as God has called.
International Bible Study Lesson: Christian Commitment in Today's World
Our theme this quarter will be “Christian Commitment in Today’s World”. Our culture does not encourage commitment whether it is commitment to our families, marriages, God or the local church. Our culture values independence, self reliance and a “me first” attitude. What does the Bible teach us about commitment and our relationship with God, believers, non believers and His church? We will explore passages from I and II Thessalonians as well as parts of Philippians. The writings of the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul address many areas of Christian commitment. As always, there will be a lesson book for each individual or couple that participates in this class. We have plenty of seats available in a comfortably air conditioned room!

Today's marriage in not your parent's marriage.
There are many expectations and stresses faced by everyone. The pace of life feels much more hectic than in the past. As students of the Bible we believe that God designed people for relationships. Further, we believe that marriage between a man and a woman is something very special to God. Retired pastor, Gordon MacDonald describes marriage as “magnificent.” Author Michael Mason describes it as a “mystery.”
During SS this summer there will be an opportunity for you to explore your marriage (or the marriage that you would like to have, if you are not yet married) and wrestle with the every day issues and concerns that impact a typical married couple. The desire of the facilitators will be that each of us can be more proactive in working through the practical issues and concerns that arise within a marriage. Instead of a weekly lecture about a topic this class will seek to be much more interactive in style. Carol and Woody Woodcock will lead this class. Rob and Mia Nyce will assist them in facilitating this class. Please join us in a journey in making marriage more meaningful and special every
